What Our Runners Say

"

An awesome morning in beautiful Bunbury!

A fantastic way to see our beautiful seaside city and a great start to the day. A running tour is a great way to explore Bunbury as it provides the opportunity to chat and ask questions the whole time. We ran at a comfortable pace for us all, stopping at points of interest and to admire the view, where Dan highlighted points of interest.

Even as a local, I learn ’t heaps of historical facts and snippets of information about Bunbury. One Interesting thing for me was studying the map on the path at the Whalebone bridge where Dan explained the original shoreline and reasons it has changed so much since European settlement.

Dan was a great guide very friendly and knowledgeable.

Run tour of Bunbury that even locals learn from.

You think you know a lot about Bunbury until you join Dan on his run tour! He’s done tonnes of homework to ensure that even long term locals learn a thing or two along the way.
I was initially concerned that 5kms might be too much for me but we stopped so often and ran at a relaxed pace making the whole thing a breeze.
What a healthy and fun way to see beautiful Bunbury.
Highly recommend.

A great experience for anyone who loves fresh air and local knowledge

I’ve lived in Bunbury since 2009 and have to say, the things I learned on Dan’s Spoken Streets tour gave me a newfound appreciation for the town. It was also a great experience to share with my dad (who’s in his 75th year) whilst he’s visiting from the UK. Highly recommend this for anyone who likes to take in sights, get some good air in their lungs, and jog a bit.

Interactive and fun tour of town!

I had such a great experience attending a sundowner tour with Dan and it was a fun and interactive way to get to know Bunbury, if you’re a visitor or even a local! Dan is very knowledgeable about Bunbury’s history and I’d highly recommend going on one of his tours! The run is very reasonable and broken up into short bursts so no matter your fitness level it is very achievable and fun!

A fun morning in Bunbury

We went on this running tour through Bunbury with 3 friends and had a great time. The running is adjusted to the group’s ability so everyone can easily keep up. We are locals, but we learnt lots of interesting facts about Bunbury – from the dolphins to shipwrecks and the lighthouse. Dan is a great tour guide – happy, positive and knowledgeable. We ended up having a (free) coffee at a local cafe. All in all a perfect morning. I would certainly recommend this tour.

Fun Experience

Really enjoyed the tour. Was apprehensive about the pace and being able to keep up. But didn’t need to worry. Lots of stops to hear little snippets of Bunbury’s history. Things that as a local I didn’t even knew. The whole package was great. The route was fun, (might be our new route to run.), Dan great to talk to, explaining and showing photos of how Bunbury used to be made it really interesting, and the coffee after was a treat!
